Only Natural Preservatives for Natural Products

Preservative systems are necessary to keep bad bacteria from altering the formulas of most personal care products. We've found a natural preservative system made from sugar enzymes (glucose oxidase and lactoperoxisase) that acts to preserve formulas by absorbing oxygen, which feeds microbes, to prevent contamination.

We prefer this preservative system over parabens, which most of our competitors use, because of the potential human health risks of parabens. Some parabens are potential endocrine disruptors, meaning that they interfere with our hormone system. In fact, Europe is considering banning the use of some parabens. Our natural preservatives will never face that fate.
